Problem Description

On March 2^nd, 2010, we received a complaint from the customer who claimed that there was seaweed coated on the Kakinotane and seaweed powder falling in this product.  

Reason Analysis

Our QA staff examined the production spot carefully in order to find the roots of the problem. We hereby conclude the following possible reasons:  

Several days ago, due to careless of our management, the seasoning & drying machine was not cleaned up when changing the product variety during the seasoning procedure. So, the remaining seaweed in previous product variety was mixed into the Kakinotane. At the same time, because of the lack of vigilance, our staff falsely assumed that seaweed was edible, so they didn’t pick them out before packing. The above two points led to the exist of seaweed in Kakinotane.  

Rectification Measures

According to ou reason analysis, we decide to take the following countermeasures and try best to prevent from any foreign bodies mixed in the products.  

Measure 1, Strengthen the training of our staff before they start to work. Operate strickly according to the production procedure. Clean up the machines before changing a product variety. Go on to the production of another product variety only after careful examination by the professionals.  

Measure 2, Specific person should be assigned to examine the picking process before packing.  

Finally, we are very sorry for the trouble caused by our careless management. Please feel assured. We will be doubly cautious. Thank you.
