我在2008年12月12日上午不慎给意大利同行（而不是经销商）发了一封带有catalogue的e-mail，这位直率的意大利同行在当天晚上给我回了这样一封邮件：

­Dear Maggie,

 亲爱的Maggie

Thank you very much for your information!

 非常感谢你的来信!

 However let me tell you that we have no plans to buy or produce from China. All our production process is managed internally in our premises in Italy.

 然而，允许我告诉你，目前我们没有从中国采购的计划。我们所有的产品都从意大利本国采购。

­You know Maggie, I believe that you can offer very low prices but, maybe because I don't have a large knowledge of the chinese market and economy, I often find myself thinking about how can you manage to offer such prices... How is it possible?

你知道Maggie,我相信你能给我提供很低的价格，但是，可能是由于我对中国市场以及经济知之甚微，我常常陷入这样的思考，你们到底是怎么做到这样的价格的。。。这可能性从何而来？

 ­I really believe that nowadays a have a very serious task which is to defend, as much as I can, my company and the jobs of all my colleagues who work hard every day to build an honest life and to offer a product with real italian quality. I don't think I would respect this principle if I start buying in China because my colleagues would become useless.

 我坚信，在当代，我们有一个很严峻的任务必须要捍卫，那就是，尽我所能的，如我的公司和辛勤工作的同事们每天所做的，建立起一个基于诚信的生活，以及提供代表真正意大利品质的产品。如果我开始采购中国的产品，那么，我不认为我是在表达对这种精神的尊重，同时我的同事们将会变得多余。

 ­I am sorry for being so honest and direct with you but I will keep on fighting, among this global economical mess, with my usual "guns": the quality and honesty of our work, the italian design and the worldwide recognized quality labeled "MADE ITALY".

我很遗憾如此直白诚实地告之你这些，但是在这次经济危机的一片混乱之中，我会不余遗力地使用我平时手中的“枪”：质量以及诚信，意大利设计，以及世界范围内对标以“Made in Italy”标签的意大利品质的认可和声誉。

 ­I know that my speech may look very selfish, but you must understand that it is time that the production in China start fighting with the same guns that we do: honesty in all the work and commercial process and, last but not the least, respect for the workers rights!

我知道我的这一番言论可能有点自私，但是你必须相信，现在正是中国应该拿起同样的武器的时候了：在工作以及商业程序中秉承诚信，以及最基本的，尊重工人们的权利！

 ­I am so sorry but I am a kind of person who is very direct. I suppose that the world could be much better if we all could became more honest. ­

我很抱歉，但是我是一个很直率的人。我认为如果我们更诚实一些，我们的世界会变得更好。

我在2008年的12月13日早晨阅读了这封邮件。很平静的，我在键盘上，一字一句的把自己的观点缓缓打了出来。可是没想到，写到中间，我还是忍不住的义愤填膺。我本来是希望，我能理智地向我的这位同行，分析我们中国制造所面临的挑战，以及告诉他，我作为一个平凡的中国人，在这次区区小事中，义不容辞所应承担的责任和义务。可是，还是有点小激动。我迫切的希望，更多的中国人，来看我的文章，因为我不知道，再过几十年，几百年，我们这些在和平以及丰饶的物质环境中成长起来的中国人，倘若战争再度来临的时候，是否还会有杨靖宇将军般的民族气节.....

­I'm really happy just on the fact to get your reply,though maybe I've rushed my fences and offensed you and your factory,But you know, that's not my original idea. XXX,Thanks for telling me your opinion frankly,I myself appreciate that kind of spirit to be honest and directly in my daily life.

 ­Indeed currently, "Made in China" means low price and sometimes even poor quality,but,my dear friend,China, is a developing country.after decades of worldwide war and national disaster,it begined its struggle these decades,just from material blankness and poverty which was result in by the war.Now,am I getting you through? This is the reason why my country's products are low price!

诚然在当前，“Made in China”意味着低价，甚至有时意味着低质量。但是，我亲爱的朋友，中国，是一个发展中国家，经过十几年来自世界范围的战争以及民族灾难，她在最近几十年，从物质上的空白以及战争导致的贫穷中，才刚刚开始了她的挣扎。现在，我有没有让你想通？这就是我的国家的产品，低价的理由！

 ­To be a serious and strict person,just like you,I also admire honestness and good quality.XXX,I want to know,did you pay attention to my notes in the end of my last e-mail? my working time is:              8:30-17:30(+8000),From Monday to Saturday but often my workmate and me, remain in the office until late night---You,your colleagues,and me,my workmates, all are struggling and  hard working!

作为一个同样认真以及严格的人，我也崇尚诚信以及高质量。XXX，我想知道，你有没有注意到我上封邮件末尾的注释，我的工作时间是：              8:30-17:30(+8000),周一至周六 然而我的同事以及我，却常常留在办公室直至深夜——你，你的同事，还有我，我的同事，都在挣扎以及努力工作！

 ­I'm also very sorry, as being a Chinese, to give you and the world an impression to offer low price products,but Chinese is not a nation to cheat,to be un-honest,and BTW,pls remember,the quality deserves its price in China local market,but when they go to the world-wide market,it's not their fault to be low price,it is the result of history and war!I just wonder sometimes who should be blamed as this result. We all know,in the world,I'm not refering your country,Italy,but there are nations who enjoy the favor exchange rate,and consume the products extravagantly,but we,are struggling all the time to realise our dream.I hold an opinion and believing all the time , since I payed attention to this topic at my Studenthood , that one day 'Made in China' would refer to high-tech and good quality.

我很遗憾，作为中国人，给了你，以及世界这样一个印象，中国提供低廉的产品，但是，中国不是一个撒谎，不诚实的民族。另外，请记住，在中国本土，这个价格对得起它的质量，但是，当它走向世界范围的市场，低价不是他们的错！是历史和战争的过错！我有的时候在想，这样的结果，到底是谁造成的？我们都知道，我不是在指你们意大利，在世界上，有这样一些民族，享受着低汇率，毫无节制地消费着产品，然而我们，却一直在努力实现我们的梦想。从学生时代开始，我就秉持这样一个观点，并且一直相信，有一天，“Made in China”将会代表高科技以及高质量！

I'm not a leader,not a gernvenor,I'm just a clerk in an office building,who just graduated 2 years ago from the college,BUT,it's my duty to let you,and more and more people know,that, just like you, China is also struggling and on its way!

Well,I'm very glad to get your opinion,if you don't tell me about it,I will be sorry to rush my fence but without knowing that I have brought such an impression when I e-mailed on internet,I will be more careful next time when I recommend my products,becoz I'm in the name of 'China' .

 然而，我还是很高兴能知道你的观点，因为如果你不告诉我这些，我可能还不知道，自己在网上发布邮件的时候，已经给了别人这样一种印象！下次在我推荐我的产品的时候，我会更小心，因为我的名字是中国！
